I have really tried to give this place a chance since Lemoncello is so busy. Lemoncello has always been nothing than perfect with food, service, quality in all areas. It sometimes gets annoying to wait during season for a restaurant when you live here full time. (should of had reservations at any other place ) than just walking into Barolo. Barolo is very disappointing and have given it more than a fare chance. It starts at the door with the greeter/manager that ignores when you are served tough meat and it was overcooked veal vs overcooked chicken... Neither is good, however when they took it back, they failed to return the food or the correct order, we were very confused. When we questioned the waiter he said they told him to throw it away since we did not care for it and told us it was chicken. Oh by the way, we still were charged for the order, even though we sent it back with less than 2 bites from it. I am not going to bore you with the details, however do yourself a favor and stay clear from there... Here are some other options, Nona Maria, North Palm Beach. Cafe Sapori, West Palm Beach, EVO in jupiter. Now if you really love route 1 and Lemoncello's is busy, head to the Carabba's which you will be happier then Barolo. I have never used this Yelp before, however I do see it when I check out new restaurants. I went on Yelp and wanted to share my awful last visit to this place since I have tried giving them a chance since they were sort of New Guy in town and just thought they had to work their problems out... Being a business owner thought I may share my experience.

Simply a near perfect dining experience. We ordered from the 4 course prix fix menu which is a bargain at $32. Including wine and dessert. Every course was delicious and presented artfully. The staff was well trained and professional. The owner introduced himself to our table and helped us order his favorite dishes from the menu. The decor was NYC chic without being haute. Great job!!

We got an enthusiastic tip to go to Barolo for dinner and so we went and had a truly lovely dining experience. The restaurant is very elegantly appointed and our server was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. The antipasti we ordered was homemade mozzarella, fried, with a delectable anchovy tomato sauce -- and it was a perfect starter. Though fried, the cheese inside was light and almost airy, and the sauce had just a little kick to keep things interesting. I ordered the monkfish and fishermans mix over black and white pasta (made on premises) fra diavolo and truly enjoyed it. Lots of seafood and just spicy enough -- without detracting from the seafood. Fresh pasta created a perfect base for the seafood. Highly recommend Barolo for a classy Italian dining experience in North County.

We had a delightful dinner Sunday evening at Barolo . Everything from the greeting at the entrance to being seated in quiet corner. My husband enjoyed the calamari appetizer and an excellent home made pappardelle pasta. I had one of the specials, crispy Caesar salad and perfectly prepared sole. Finishing with a slice dark chocolate cake. Service was very good and sensitive to our needs. It will be on our list for future fine dining.

We found this restaurant on Yelp and couldn't have been more pleased with our experience here. Edwin was our waiter and he couldn't have been more attentive. They promptly brought out roasted garlic cloves in oil with Parmesan cheese and bread which was fabulous!! Our meals were delicious and served promptly. The general manager, Anthony couldn't have been any friendlier and honesty made us feel like our patronage was appreciated and that is a welcome change in today's restaurant environment. We would highly recommend you give this restaurant a try. This will be our first stop next time we're n town.

My husband and I had the best Italian dinner here. My husband is full Italian and very picky about his Italian food. However, we had delicious veal franciase, homemade meatballs, vitello sorrentina and antipasto Barolo. The ambiance was beautiful with the prettiest bar area around. We left with full bellys and can't wait to return next week.

Service is spot on, from the moment you enter.Prices are right in line for what you would expect to pay for fine dining. Definitely recommend going there!

Excellent evening at this restaurant . Nice atmosphere and Kathy greeted us warmly for our reservation. The Bar area was crowded and appeared a bit overwhelmed. Meatball appetizer is a must and we both enjoyed the veal special. It is fine Italian dining .

This was another excellent find on Groupon when we were on Vacation. The Restaurant and Bar are stunning. Our Groupon was for an Antipasto Platter and a bottle of their house Wine (a delightful Sangiovese) in the Bar area only, so that is where we stayed. The Bartenders were fun, friendly, and attentive. The Meats and Cheeses were fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. Did I mention how much we enjoyed our Wine?! The only bad thing was that you can only get it there. I would love to have a Case or two in my house. The Manager stopped over to chat and we talked about Wine. He showed me the climate-controlled storage area between the Bar and Dining area. It, too, was beautiful and just impressive. We can't wait to return next year and try the Three-Course Menu, which includes a glass of that fabulous Wine!

Looking for a fresh menu and not the same old , same old? Then look no further, welcome to Barolo. So we heard about this new, sexy, Italian place in North Palm Beach, Barolo, and decided to take a look at it on line. While the web site is not terribly exciting in design, the pictures of the dining room and bar area were interesting enough to make us look at the menu. After seeing that they offered an nice happy hour menu as well as summer pre-fix specials, we decided to give it a go. Not being that familiar with this area, we had no idea where we were going and almost fell over when we pulled into the "Crystal Tree Plaza " , why they didn't state this as being their location on the Internet is a mystery to me as this information would have helped greatly in finding our destination. Nevertheless , upon pulling up , I immediately recognized the space as being the former home for a well known and respected Italian restaurant from years earlier - San Gennaro's. But talk about a transformation! While both restaurants served Italian food , BAROLO has a fresh beautiful modern feeling inside and feels nothing like its predecessor. The new operators obviously spent a great deal of time and money designing the dining room and bar area. The final product is like no other space in the Palm Beach area. They have captured a casual elegance that is perfect for today's version of fine dining. You feel very comfortable the moment you walk thru the door and see the beautiful dining room and bar. Separating the two spaces they have a state of the art walk in wine room filled with a very impressive selection of wines. The staff encourages you to walk in and take a closer look, a nice touch that makes it very enticing to enjoy a bottle or two with dinner. The staff is very friendly. The manager Tom checked on us several times making sure we were enjoying everything. The bartender, Lee, recommend his menu favorites that made ordering very easy. I only awarded four stars because we didn't get past the happy hour menu and I'm reserving one star for when I return and have the full dining experience. But what we did order was incredible. The happy hour menu offered a great selection of appetizers all $7.00 each! Everything I sampled was delicious, Chicken Parmesan Sliders, Mozzarella In Carrozza ( I dare you to try and have only one bite), and my favorite and my true test for Italian food , the meatballs , well kids , the MEATBALLS BAROLO are f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c-!!!!!! Overall we had a great time and we were genuinely happy that we decided to venture out to find Barolo. While they have been open less than six months, I have no doubt we will be returning for many years to come!

Love!! I'm not going to bore you with a bunch of details! The service is perfect and anything that you order will be hot and delicious. Fab wine list. I wish I lived here so I could come often! Caesars salad and veal Scaloppini were beyond delicious. We got angel hair pasta instead of polenta and it suited!

This was our second choice tonight, but really glad we went. Ordered from the prix fixe menu (veal parmigiana) and the meal was the best we had during our vacation. Bookmarking it for our next visit to West Palm!

What an amazing evening ! Service was exceptional from the moment we parked ( valet is complimentary ). When we arrived we were kindly greeted by Anthony, the GM of the restaurant who then sat our group in the private dinning area ( there is no extra fee, and it's great for larger groups). Our personal sommelier was so knowledgeable, and attentive ! He paired our meals with a Sangiovese wine, which was perfectly smooth and flavorful. Our pre-fix menu was delicious and the portions were perfectly sized. I loved my Caesar salad, Bolognese pasta course, veal Marsala and of course the tiramisu ! The best part is that everything on the menu is home made and the chef even came to our table to say thank you ! I will definitely be back !!!! Please also thank our lovely server, I didn't get her name but she was most accommodating !

This is the WORST Italian restaurant ever! For the price we paid, we could have gone anywhere else. Pizza Hut would have been better. I ordered the chicken Milanese. It was like shoe leather. Actually, I think, shoe leather would have been better. Sent it back and ordered linguine and clams. Can we say just throw all the ingredients and serve? Really? Horrible. Complained to the waitress and the manager, their attitude? Whatever, we don't care, we are full! Seriously, NEVER again. T-H-E W-O-R-S-T ever! Don't waste your money. Go somewhere else, just down the street La Fontana, one hundred times better. Really. Trust me on this one. Not worth the money...

Had my second experience at Barolo and once again it did not disappoint. Had dinner with another couple and all meals were delicious. Service was excellent and the staff starting with the GM, Anthony certainly made us all feel welcomed and appreciated our business. Double cut pork chop was outstanding as was the gnocchi. Highly recommend!!

I dined at Barolo tonight for my dad's birthday. We had called ahead and let the restaurant know we were there for a special occasion. Although the other four members of my party enjoyed their food, I didn't particularly care for the pork chops. We all agreed, however, that the service was terrible. We sat down without a wine menu, and waited probably ten minutes after deciding on a bottle to see our waiter again. When water glasses had sat empty for maybe fifteen minutes, we grabbed the pitcher within arm's reach of our table and filled them ourselves. It took that proactive action to catch the attention of our waiter, who appeared angry we would dare serve ourselves. Later in our meal, the maître de asked how our meal was. When we kindly asked for two refills of Diet Coke that had been sitting empty for maybe twenty minutes, he promised to bring them. When the refills were nowhere to be found by the time we had finished our entrees, we stared him down until he remembered. When he finally brought them, we told him we were disappointed because we had tried a new restaurant for my dad's birthday and the service had been definitively subpar. In response he said, "You must be Rick" as if remembering a birthday guest's name would remedy all wrongs. My dad's name is NOT Rick. We asked for the check without an apology, compensated portion of the meal, or dessert. On the drive home, the restaurant called to apologize and ask for our address to send a gift card. In my humble opinion, it was too little too late. I have no interest in dining here again, and I hope anyone looking for a nice restaurant will steer clear of Barolo. There are plenty of nice restaurants in Palm Beach County - don't waste your time and patience here.

Dinner for 7, reservations made last minute on open table. Arrived early and table was ready, restaurant slowly filled up during our meal. Very nice wine selection, ordered an eponymous Barolo and waiter instead recommended an '08 Brunello. Initially good but after decanted it was fantastic. Appetizers, especially meatballs, all good. Most went with summer price fixe menu, included soup or salad, large variety of main course selections and dessert. Main courses were the highlights. Will certainly return.

I hesitate to give any restaurant 5 stars, but palm beach finally has an Italian restaurant that can compare to Nyc. We have been two successive weekends and have been equally pleased both times. The antipasto, the mearball appetizer are special. The fish, shrimp scampi and pasta dishes are all well done served perfectly. Most important is the feeling you are dining rather than eating in a cafeteria like so many restaurants in the area. Hopefully the prices will keep the crowds down but I doubt it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
